This is my Tivaevae art that is made from paper but the real Tivaevae art is made with fabric. My Tivaevae art is made from yellow green and orange paper. Tivaevae is important because it is traditional to the people that live in the cook islands you could also use the Tivaevae as a birthday gift or from a reunion and they could use it as a sheet or a bed sheet.
Facts: Tivaevae in english is actually called patches.
Tivaevae can be created by on lady or a group a group of ladies
In a group it’s actually called vainetini.
The Vainetini uses their time to talk and sing and catch up on things at home.
The Vainetini is the one you makes the Tivaevae out of Tiny pieces of cloth.
It takes Between one week to two year to make a full Tivaevae.
